Trip to Komoro ― to the Old Main Street 4, Soba-shichi ―

Thank you for reading this blog!

Last time I watched Otsuka Sakebu (from the outside).
This time, I will enter an Soba shop near Otsuka Shuzo.

This article will be a story when I visited Komoro on February 12, 2017.
I took pictures of “Oshibori soba” from “Shoubu-An” in previously article.

Yes, I’ve visited two soba shop in noon!

I wanted to visit another shop, but , eating soba two times in two or three hours was the limit ^^;

Now, let’s go to the main theme.

As at the beginning of the last article, I returned to the building called “Otsuka Honten” and head north from there.
Then,

Behind the red post, you can see a good-looking shop.

This is a soba shop called “Soba-Shichi”.

There is such an explanatory note in the window with a grid somewhat to the left of the center of the picture.

In summary, this shop is repaired with holding the old appearance in 1996 and it made the atmosphere that old buildings should be preserved.

Let’s enter the shop.

As I am too coward to take photos as soon as entering the shop, I posted ones taken after sitting the seat^^;

Hina -Ningyou set is put at the right end of the photo.

Picture closed up is this.

On this day, the flag of “Tour of the dolls” appeared before each shop in Honcho.

The official name is “Tour of the dolls in Hokkoku Kaido Komoro-juku”.

The old Hina-Ningyou, dolls, and hanged Hina-Ningyou is decorated in the houses, and various events and exhibitions were done.

There seems to be plans such as a hanged Hina-Ningyou making classes, mini straw horse making lecture meetings and so on.

In addition, this event seems to be a subject of the photo contest sponsored by Komoro Tourism Association.

When sending a picture, it seems that excellent works are adopted for posters.

“Straw horse parade” to be held on March 4 seems to be a climax, and a parade seems to be done with pray for disease-free to a handmade straw horse.

This signboard is the plate that was posted in the Honmachi Machiya-kan that appeared the second time before.

This event “Tour of dolls” is a festival born out of the momentum to regain liveliness.

Posters of the event are posted on the website of “Honmachi Machiya Kan” so please watch and go out.

First of all, let’s see the menu.

At the top of the photo on the left, there is “’10 limited’ Tebiki-zaru”, sorry, I don’t know “Tebiki” too.

Weak in the word “Limited”, without hesitation, I ordered “’10 limited’ Tebiki-zaru”, I heard that I could eat it.

When looking at the bottom of the menu, there is letters “choose the soup”.

As you see, there is a letter of “Oshibori”.

It is the same as that I ate in “Shoubu-an”.

I thought that all “Komoro soba” shop had “Oshibori” in common, etc.

In fact, before I came to this shop, I had eaten Oshibori-soba at the “Shoubu-an” for taking the photos.

I thought that eating the same in succession was boring, and the “Recommended” soup was “specialty”, so I was asking for “Special Tsuyu” because attracted by the character of “special”.

Took a look at the menu with pinching this while I was waiting Soba.

First, searched Sake.

“Asama-Oroshi”, I had never known.

As a result of investigating, it seems the brand that a group called “Sake-nomi-Hyakushou-no-kai”, “Association of Farmers drinking Sake”(in past, poor farmers were called “Mizu-nomi-Hyakushou”, which means they were so poor that they couldn’t eat enough and that they could drink only water), has Otsuka Brewery, which appeared in past article, brew.

Seeing their Facebook, they grew rice for sake.

This shop is one where they drink “Jizake”, sake brewed by their rice, rather than “Jizake”, “sake brewed in the place.

For the other sakes the brand name was not written specifically, but from the photo next to it, I can see that “Asama-dake” by Otsuka Shuzo, and from the label, “Benten-no-Izumi [Honjouzou]”.

… this site is being made by this ^^;

The knobs

They were ones which should be served in Soba shop!

I’d like to go for a cup eating cooked eggs, herring pickles and baked miso, at last eat soba … I wish I had come by a car …

And, less soon, the soba wass arriving.

Here is a Tebiki-Zaru with Toku-Tsuyu

Soba, which I ordered, was served,

There being a relation of the light inside the store, it looked like a so-called “Inaka Soba”, in English ‘rural Soba’, because it can see a dark collars in noodles.

The thickness is roughly the same, but it is somewhat different, so it looks like a handmade instead of a noodle machine as it is on the menu.

Tsuyu is made from boiled vegetables such as onions and shiitake mushrooms.

The manager is from the neighboring town of Nagano Prefecture, in the western part of Gumma prefecture, but it is similar to Soba and Udon noodles which are routinely made there.

Because it is soba with the same atmosphere as my country, not like Edo-kko, not just add a little Soba but sip a lot and eat.

Delicious.

Because it was very cold outside, warm soup is appreciated.

Soba-tsuyu, soup, is squeezed out, and it is rather salty.

after eating Soba and put Soba-yu in Soba-tsuyu.

Then, this is perfect for buckwheat, I can taste delicious in harmony with salty feeling.

Though I ate soba two times in this day and drank cup of buckwheat two times, I inadvertently drank ^^

Garnish was Nozawa-na and boiled potatoes.

Potatoes is had with miso on, but this miso has sweetness and is delicious.

There is a spicy green onion and radish, and there is only a little yellow in the picture, which tastes of yuzu.

I do not know how to make it, but I thought it would be delicious if I eat it with Soba… I forgot to turn on, sorry.

Do not forget to eat it when I come next time.

In this way, I had eaten and drunk Soba and Soba-yu two times in a day.

… I am worried about my weight, but because it is soba, because Soba is good for health, I will cheat myself, and came out of the shop.

Komoro city on this day is fine, but for the effect of the strongest cold weather this season, the air is cold.

For calorie expenditure I resumed town walking.

… this time it is over with this place.

P.S.

Next to the store of “Soba Shichi”, you can see rare things.

Nagano_Komoro_Soba-shichi_Sukoyaka-Jizou

This is “Sukoyaka Jizou”.

The gesture, leaned hand and head, is cute☆

There was feeling of fullness, and I smiled unintentionally.

Such a happy investigation of ‘Soba Shich’.
