Meeting and Drinking at Chikuzen-ya in Kanda

Thank you for seeing this blog.
It is the 2nd time blog of the “three meals” series where the administrator rarely goes.

In the day, I went to Chikuzen-ya in Kanda for a meeting of work with a friend.
“Chikuzen-ya” is in the east exit of Kanda station and is in a place where I walked a little way to Nihonbashi toward Chuo street.

As “Honmono-no-Yakiton”, in English “Genuine Yaki-ton”, says in signboard, the specialty of this restaurant is “Yaki-ton”, in English “Grilled skewered-pork “.
The inside of the restaurant looks like this, where everybody gonna do it.

First of all, we asked a beer, toasted and asked for foods. Yakitori, salad and so on.
After waiting for a while, a salad comes out first.
It is written like this on the menu.

It says “Yasai salad (Regular)”, in English “Vegetable salad (Regular size)” and “Baka-mori Yasai Salad”, in English “Crazy size vegetable salad”.
I ordered “regular” and it is

For us, Japanese, this makes us feel much larger size than regular size and made me wonder how large the “Baka-mori” is ! ^^;
while eating salad, Yaki-ton came out.

From left, “Maru-chou”,”Ton-toro”,”Toro-tan”
“Maru-chou” is cow’s intestine and the overflowing rich fat is a delicious.
Roasting skewered “Maru-chou” got rid of the fat moderately, tasted good and made feel just fine for an administrator who got older and the weak stomach.

“Tontoro” tasted good for the fat taste different from “Maru-chou”.
“Toro-tan” was tongue of pig, soft to bite and had good rich delicious fat.

I ate these with Sake “Nihon-tou”, in English “Katana” or “Japanese Sword”, brewed by “Hana-no-Mai Brewer”.
It was Junmai-Ginjou, in English “brewed in Ginjou way only with rice”,
The sake degree is +6 and dry sake.
Although I know that you can’t grasp it as “Japanese sword” by appearance, I posted its pictures ^^;

As this was my feeling, its taste was not so-called dry sake, but rather the sweetness like Ginjo-shu or “umami”, which was not sweetness of desert which remains afterwards, but the sweetness which disappeared instantly or whose aftertaste was not drawn, like sharp Japanese swords.

Eating foods, it made feel to rinse off the strong taste of fat and so on.
It was very delicious!

On the day when I work on the next day, I make it rule not to drink alcohol, especially sake, but I requested “Japanese sword” more.
At 590 yen a glass, this deliciousness is reasonable ☆

If I had not consider my wallet and work, I had wanted to drink it much more.
After that, we had a meeting of work with us, and finally, ordered the last dish.

Look at the menu, “this is it !?” and I ordered it.
that is…

“Buta-Mayo-Don”, in English “Pork Mayonnaise Bowl”.
My estimate is that the plenty of rice was equal to about four cups(For ordinary Japanese it is much larger volume).

Besides, it was shredded with cabbage and boiled pork and onions, with mayonnaise, blue onions and red ginger.
Soy sauce base tasted as good as you can eat all even if you are full.
The friend ate 1/4, I ate 3/4.

Dishes and drinks were not expensive, but we ate a lot for the delicious taste and I paid 10,000 yen!
Apart from “Nihon-tou”, we had not ordered items exceeding 500 yen per item … ^^;

That way, foods and drinks were very delicious, very satisfying shop ♪
… I gotta drink “Caro Limit”, diet drink, when I get home …
